KEEP THE POST PUBLIC The CWU is embarking on a nationwide tour of Briton from john o’Groats to Land’s End. The tour will arrive in Durham market place on the 25th may and we will hold an event with a balloon release by it is hoped Stephen Hughes MEP. I would appreciate any help from members that they can offer but at the very leased I would ask members to try to attend if possible.
125th DURHAM MINERS GALA Saturday 11th July 2009 As in previous years the CWU will be in attendance with a marquee staffed by volunteers from Newcastle branch and the Durham branch. This year Billy Hayes the general secretary of the communications workers union will be a guest speaker. The big meet will be an ideal opportunity to promote the Keep the Post Public Campaign so I would urge members to support the event and bring their families along and visit the cwu marquee.
