The Communication Workers Union (CWU) is the biggest union for the communications industry in the UK with 250,00 members.

The Durham County Branch currently represents workers in Royal Mail, Romec, Quadrant and Post Office Counters in the Chester le Street, Derwentside, Durham and Houghton le Spring area. 

The Branch also has a much valued retired members section.
